Apparently, you NEED the resource.cfg file in your mods folder for mods to work But for my game, this just ruins it. I will be in CAS, make my sim, move them  I've downloaded the clothes, put them into the Mods folder, resource.cfg file is there, but the custom content isn't showing up in game, which is.

It may be that you have a corrupted Sims 4 folder. It can and does happen. It's easy enough for the game to build a new Sims 4 folder.
